Detroit Auto Bailout Could Cost $100B
The reporter, Matt Egan gives a good mixture of personal opinion and facts within the article. It is also very enlightening. It is obvious that he is well informed about this topic. He goes in depth about the substantial amount of money being issued to the auto industry. He also goes into details about how the auto industry will repay or reform its budget to insure a more secure one.
GM and Chrysler asked for another 22 billion by expressing they will cut jobs, cut brands and close factories to decrease the overall expenses of the company. According to the Wall Street Journal Matthew Dolan has reported that other cuts are being made to reduce the debt. Ford's Executive Chairman William Ford Jr. and Alan Mulally will accept 30% pay cuts over the next two years.

update on research assignment

Originally, I encountered a little trouble when deciding on a topic. But with the help of my professor, I was able to narrow my options down to topic that I am extremely interested in. I am doing my research on the automotive industry bailout proposal. While surfing the net and "googling", I discovered interesting details about this plan. A couple of the articles seem to express the reporter's opinions or thoughts about what they felt should be done in this situation.
As of now, I have researched about 8 blogs and kept on only 6. I do have to admit that this assignment is not as easy as I thought! In doing a thorough analyst, research is extremely time consuming. I will elaborate more on the topics in my assignment, but I will point out in this blog a few issues that were interesting to me as I researched the auto bailout plan. I was ignorant to the fact that the government could intervene in these type situations. While researching this story, i recognized how the reporter expresses his dissatisifaction with this government decision. He offered an analogy to better explain his rationale for this conclusion. The reporter asked if any other business was struggling to maintain through the ecnonomy, would the government intervene to save the business???? You know what? LOL! I know that I didnt express this way the reporter did, I will be more thorough in my assignment. Signing off now!!!!
